Raising a Character

Leveling

In Sho Online, you train your character by hunting monsters and completing quests.
Hunting monsters and completing quests give Experience points to your character. If your character acquires a specific amount of Experience points, the character can increase its level and have more powerful ability, and you can enjoy more various contents.
Plus, if the level of your character is higher than a certain level, the character can attain a higher rank and change its profession.

Training Points
In Sho Online, the basic ability points of a character increase automatically whenever the level of the character goes up. The points are different from Body Points which can be increased by players.

Division	Description
Strength	The points show how strong your character is.
Agility	The points show the mental strength of your character.
Life	The points shows the HP your character.
Mental Strength	The points show the mental strength of your character.
Concentration	The points show the your character’s ability to focus.

The following table shows Combat Ability points which are increased along with the increase of Training Points.

Promotion

Characters can get a promotion when they attain a level which is a multiple of ten. Each promotion gives them additional ability points.

Promotions allow you to change your character’s profession and rank. You can change your character’s profession when it attains level 10, and give the character a higher rank when it attains a level which is a multiple of ten thereafter.

Receiving a quest through Carrier Pigeon

Though your character fails to complete a promotion quest, it can receive the quest again. If the level of your character goes up without promotions and there are several unfinished promotion quests, you have to start from the oldest quest to be promoted.

Benefits after promotion

Whenever the level of a character goes up, it can acquire new skills.
Whenever the level of a character goes up, its basic ability points increase.
Higher levels offer new quests.

Promotion System

A promotion is a move to a higher rank. Levels which are multiples of ten offer promotions, and if your character gets a promotion, it will have a new title.
The table below shows ranks and titles for each profession.

Profession

You can change your character’s profession after your character completes a level 10 promotion quest successfully.

Basic professions consist of three classes, Assassin, Warrior and Soolsa in Sho Online. Each character can have a new profession through level upgrades and get professional characteristics.

Rank system is a core part in camp play.
If you kill a character of the enemy country, you take fame points away from the character increasing your character’s fame points. Your character can move to a higher rank in this way.
Your character’s rank decides the amount of additional bonus points you can get during the game.

Displaying a rank

There are two ways to check your character’s rank.
You can check it in War Info under the Character Window or through a mark displayed on the right side of the character name that appears over the character.

Recruit	Solders of the lowest rank without distinguished services
Private	Inexperienced soldiers with some distinguished services
Scout	Trained skillful soldiers who provide scouting services
Corporal	Soldiers who have completed regular training and have considerable combat experience
Sergeant	Soldiers who have fearless courage and can analyze military situations and assist commanders
Lieutenant	: Soldiers who have enormous courage, raise the morale of their troops, discourage the enemy and always lead an army
Captain	Famous commanders who won many battles and never fell into a trap in numerous battles
Major	People who have divine ability and can control the military power of a country and have many soldiers and commanders under them
Colonel	Excellent strategists of courage who do not falter even in the most serious situations and can lead the fate of a country in a fight for the supremacy of the world
General	Invincible warriors whose existence gives joy to their troops and drives the enemy to despair, and also unrivaled geniuses who have the strategy of ascetics and are powerful enough to move mountains

Fame

The ranking of characters is based on their fame points in Sho.
Characters that have the same fame points share the same position in the ranking.
The ranking and fame points are updated every morning, and characters move to new rank after updating.
Characters can earn fame points by providing remarkable services in battles.
In other words, fame pointes can be acquired by killing NPCs of the enemy country in battles, occupying strategic points or killing characters of the enemy country.
Plus, if a character plays a decisive role to win a battle, it can earn additional fame points.
However, if you kill a character whose level is considerably lower than that of your character or if you keep killing characters of the same player, your character cannot gain fame points.
