Attacks are divided into general attacks and skill attacks.
General Attacks
To make general attacks, characters wield their weapons using their basic hitting power to do damage to their targets.
As attack power depends on the basic ability of a character and the power of its weapon, it is advantageous to use a weapon that has more powerful attack power.
General attacks are much weaker than skill attacks, but they can be used continuously because they do not consume characters¡¯ Chi.
In Addition, the Expertness levels of characters can be increased by making general attacks with their weapons. If characters have increased Expertness, they can have additional improved ability and become more powerful.
Using Skills
To make skill attacks, characters attack their targets using their unique combat skills that consume their Chi. Skill attacks are more powerful than general attacks and have additional damaging effects, but they consume Chi whenever they are used. Therefore, if a character has used up its Chi, it cannot make a skill attack. Plus, characters cannot make skill attacks unless they use their skills points, which can be earned by upgrading levels, to acquire new skills.
Skill attacks do not increase the Expertness levels of characters in wielding their weapons.
Defense is the act of protecting characters from attacks by using their ability and the power of their weapons.
Defense can be divided into ¡°Dodging¡± which nullifies attacks by dodging them and ¡°Damage Reduction¡± which reduces the damage inflicted by attacks by using defense armor and resistance.
As defense armor cannot protect characters 100 percent, you need to use body training to enhance the defense capability of your character or receive blessing skills from your party members to improve it.
There are three kinds of recovery, natural recovery, recovery using items and recovery using skills.
Natural recovery
Chi Shield and Chi can be recovered gradually in every place, but Vitality can only be recovered in castle towns and bases (Gates) and in non-combat situations. The higher the level the quicker the recovery will be.
Using recovery items
If characters cannot continue their battle because of decreased Vitality, Chi Shield or Chi, they can use recovery items. You can buy recovery items from Store NPCs in castles and gates or you can get them from other characters through trading or from monsters you hunted though the probability is low.
As the prices of recovery items vary depending on the amount of recovery, recovery time and required level, you need to buy items proper to your character¡¯s level and state.
Recovery skills
Recovery skills can be used only by Demon Knights or Taoistic Priests who have acquired the skills. Though recovery skills are more effective than natural recovery and recovery items, higher recovery skills consume more Chi, so you need be careful when using these skills.
