Character Status

Character Status image

The Character Status is shown on the upper left corner of the screen. It displays your characters current HP, Chi Shield, Chi and activated skills and other special functions.

[HP]

The red HP gauge displays the present vitality of a character.
The loss of HP can be recovered in castles and gates, and if the character does not return to its castle or town, HP cannot be recovered. If both HP and Chi Shield become zero, the character will die.

[Chi Shield]

The green Chi Shield gauge displays the present status of the invisible shield that protects the character. If the character is attacked by an enemy, Chi Shield will decrease, but it can be recovered by having a rest or by taking special potions or powders.
However, if Chi Shield becomes zero, HP will begin to decrease.

[Chi]

The blue Chi gauge displays the remaining energy that enables the character to cast spells.
If the character uses its skill or Do-sul, Chi will decrease, but it can be recovered by having arrest or by taking special potions or powders.

[Blessing]

It displays activated passive or buff skills and/or any spells that has good influence on the character.

[Curse]

It displays any spells that has bad influence on the character.

Experience

Experience image

Experience bar on the bottom of the screen shows how much experience you have to gain to go up a level. Experience can be gained by actions such as hunting monsters or completing a quest.
If Experience reaches 100%, the level of the character will be increased and it will also improve the ability of the character.

Enemy Info

Enemy Info image

Enemy info is displayed when you select a target.
You can check information, such as the faction, level, name, HP, Chi Shield and Chi of the target

[Curse]

The color of a target name will change depending on the level difference between you and the target.

Color of Name Level Difference between You and Target
[Blue] The level of a target is lower than you by 9.
[Light Blue] The level of a target is lower than you by 5~8.
[Green] The level of a target is lower than you by 2~4.
[White] The level of a target is higher or lower than you by 1.
[Yellow] The level of a target is higher than you by 2~4.
[Orange] The level of a target is higher than you by 5~8.
[Red] The level of a target is higher than you by 9.

When a target is a general character and if you click the faction icon after selecting the target, a menu which allows you to interact with the selected target will be activated.

Color of Name Level Difference between You and Target
[How to assign and use shortcut - Skill] Open the Skill Window (K), click on an enabled skill icon and then carry it to an empty slot in the Shortcut bar.
Or right click a skill icon to register it immediately in an empty slot. To use a registered skill, click an enemy to set a target, and then press the number assigned to the skill.
[How to assign and use shortcut - Item] Open the Item Window (I), click a consumable item that you want to assign, and then carry it to an empty slot in the Shortcut bar.
Press the corresponding key assigned to the item to use.
Only consumable items, such as potions and talismans, can be assigned a shortcut

System Menu located on the bottom right corner of the screen allows you to use the functions of Sho Online system.

Character Icon
Manufacture

Displays the list of items you can manufacture.

Quest

Displays the status of quests you have taken.

Skill

Displays list of skills that you have learned or can learn.

Inventory

Displays items that you have stored.

Quest

Displays the information of your character.

Community Icon
War Map

Displays the military situation of the current server and territories occupied by each Dynasty.

Dynasty

Displays the information of the Dynasty you belong to.

Friend

Displays the status of your enlisted friends.

Master/Disciple

Displays the status of your master (or disciple).

House

Displays the information of the House you belong to.

System Icon
Option

Displays the list of items you can manufacture.

Help

Provides you with information to help you play the game.

Cash Menu Icon

Opens the Cash Item Shop window.

System Message

There are three kinds of Sho Online system messages, [System], [Error], and [Notice].
Different kinds of messages have different display locations and are displayed in different colors.

[System] System messages and errors, and special notice from GMs for game administration and management are displayed in yellow.
[Error] Informs you of incorrect actions or inapplicable matters during the game.
[Notice] Displays administrators¡¯ messages generated by GMs.

Mini Map [M]

Mini Map is located in the upper right corner of the screen and it shows your current location.

[Region Name]

Displays the name of your current zone.

[Mini Map On/Off]

Click to show/hide the Mini Map.

[Zoom In/Out]

Click on the (+)to enlarge the Mini Map, and click on the (-) to reduce the Mini Map.

[Full Map]

Click to see the Full Map.

[X, Y Coordinates]

XY coordinates of your current location.

[Day/Night Info]

Indicates whether it is day or night

Chat Window [Enter]

To send a chat message, press Enter, type a message and then press Enter again.

[General]

Allows you to chat with every character in certain range.

[Whisper]

Allows you to chat 1 on 1 with another character

[House]

Allows you to chat with your House members.
This is activated only when your character is a member of a House.

[Party]

Allows you to chat with your party members.
This is activated only when your character is a member of a party.

[All]

Allows you to chat with every character on current server.
The continuous use of this chat is restricted.

[Dynasty]

Allows you to chat with characters belonging to same nation.

Game Option [O]

You can change game configurations including graphics, sound and interfaces in this menu. Each category has a default setting. If there is a problem after you change a setting, reset it back to its default setting.

Character Information [C]

The Character Information displays the current status of your character. Press the C to open.

The Status tab displays basic character information.

[Dynasty]

The Dynasty tab displays character Ranking information.

Inventory [I]

Inventory shows currently equipped items and items you have on you hand. Press I to open.

[Inventory]

The upper part shows which item is being equipped by the character, and the bottom part is the storage for items that can be used by the character. To equip an item, click and drag the item in to a corresponding equipment slot

[Sell]

To register and sell an item on consignment, click on the Sell button on the bottom of the Inventory and add the item to the Sale on Commission list, enter desired selling price and then confirm.

[Sale on Commission]

The item trade system allows users to consign their items to an agent NPC so that they do not need to trade items for themselves

Manufacture [Y]

Inventory shows currently equipped items and items you have on you hand. Press I to open.

[Recipe]

In Sho Online, valuable items can be manufactured by collecting materials based on formulae/recipes.
To manufacture an item, you have to be first at least level 15 or higher. Higher the level, the more items you can make.
You then need to obtain recipes that contain the formula for an item.

Skill Window [K]

Press K to display the Skill Window. The window consists of 4 tabs, [Combat], [Training], [Specialty], and [Weapon].
To use enabled skills conveniently, assign each skill icon to a slot in the Shortcut bar and then press 1~ 10, - or = to use.

[Combat]

Generally, this consists of attack (active) skills.

[Training]

Consists of passive skills that improve the basic ability of a character that is applied permanently.

[Specialty]

Consists of special skills of each class. You have to attain level 60 or higher to learn these skills. These skills do not require extra skill points.

[Weapon]

Display your mastery in weapons. The longer you use the weapon, higher weapon expertise you get.

Quest [L]

Press L key to open.
Shows types and progress status of quests you have taken. Click on the quest icon to see further detail.

House [G]

House Window image

[House]

Press G to open.
Shows current information of your House, such as the rank and members.
You can also carry out Community activities with your House members, such as using a bulletin board, here.
